Málaga Femenino’s under-19 international midfielder, Paula Fernández completed the European Championships in Northern Ireland with the best outcome of all: being proclaimed champion of Europe wearing the red jersey.
Fernández, who was part of the starting line-up in every match in the tournament, played an important role in the under-19s’ final and decisive game. In the 20th minute she was in charge of taking a corner and propelling the perfect cross to the left, that opened the scoring.
The Blue and Whites’ midfielder left the field of play in the 66th minute, completing an outstanding European tournament, in which she showed her impressive gameplay in the one-on-one, and her technique.
Paula Fernández, who is with the rest of the national team, is making her way back to Málaga to continue preparations for the first match of the competition, taking place on 3rd September against Club Polillas Atlético de Ceuta.
