Youth teams are again present at the Ciudad de Málaga

Málaga CF resumed training this Thursday morning between 10:30 and 12:00, at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. Like yesterday, there was a large number of players from the youth ranks in the penultimate session of the week.

Following the classic team talk at the start of the session by coach, Míchel – who was congratulated by the players on his birthday today – the team alternated between physical exercise and work using the ball, with 22 players at full capacity, although in the final part of the session, Jony retired before his teammates as he sustained a blow to his left ankle.

Kameni (discomfort to his left calf muscle) underwent the first part of the session with the group and the second part in the gym, whilst José Rodríguez (back problems) underwent solitary continuous running. Rosales, Juanpi, Duda, Sandro, Ontiveros and Koné – suffering with long-term injury - remained in the stadium’s interior galleries to undergo preventive work. Recio and reserve team goalkeeper, Samu Casado stepped on to the pitch to focus on specific work with the ball.

Charles and goalkeeper, Aarón returned to the group dynamic which, like yesterday, had a large number of players from the youth ranks, namely: goalkeeper, Guille Lara; defenders, Álex Robles and Luis Muñoz; midfielders, Mula, Arturo and Castillo; and strikers, Kuki Zalazar and Santi. Internationals; Mikel, Peñaranda, Boyko and En-Nesyri were absent, along with Kuzmanovic, suffering with a long-term injury.

Tomorrow, Friday at 09:30, Málaga will return to training at La Rosaleda’s facilities.
