Yáñez: “We have no doubt that we are going to get out of this situation”
The Malaguista goalkeeper held a post #MálagaRealSporting press conference. “We know what we have to do and, if we keep this same mindset, we’ll move forward,” he commented.
Following two games on the bounce in the starting line-up, the keeper told the media that on “an individual level” he felt “comfortable. I’ve only just started and am adapting to the situation. My idea is to bring as much as I can to the team and help in every way. I’ve been preparing for this moment. The only objective is to score points, that’s what we have to focus on. We all need to do our bit and turn the situation around. There are 25 players and between us all we’ll achieve our goal,” he said.
“We’re aware of the position. It was clear that the Second Division would be difficult, but we have no doubt that we are going to get out of this situation,” he said about the team’s current position.
Juande’s goal in the final stages of play gave the team a point, which Rubén believes is “a point that must be valued. We’re working extremely hard, yet football is being unfair. We know what we have to do and, if we keep this same mindset, we’ll move forward,” affirmed the goalkeeper.
Lastly, Rubén was asked about the involvement of the sports psychology team that has been helping them in recent days. “The hard work is there. You can see it. And there have been games where we deserved much more. We’re looking to prepare ourselves in all aspects of play. Sports psychology is important, it contributes, the coach and the club were right and we’re grateful for that help,” he concluded.
