The Malaguistas end an historic season for Málaga CF’s women’s squad, defeating Cádiz CF Femenino by 0-2 with goals from Luisa and Carmen.
It’s been quite the year for Málaga CF Femenino. The triumphs keep on coming for the Malaguistas. Following on from the first team’s promotion to the Liga Iberdrola, the Blue and Whites’ reserve team yesterday defeated Cádiz CF Femenino by 0-2 in the final of the promotion playoffs to the Second Division.
The goals from Luisa and Carmen gave Ayala’s players a promotion pass after an outstanding season. This year the girls scored a total of 121 goals and conceded just 11.
During the promotion playoffs they played a superb competition, defeating Arenas de Armilla from Granada, the reserve team of Real Betis and, lastly, the Cádiz CF Femenino first team.
The Malaguistas now face the challenge of competing in Group IV of the Women’s Second Division, where they’ll face rivals such as Granada CF Femenino and Sporting de Huelva ‘B’.
The ‘Cadetes’, champions of Andalucía
As well as the promotions, the Málaga CF Femenino was also successful on 24th June. The little Malaguistas were proclaimed Andalusian Champions after beating UD Pavia by 7-0 in the semi-finals, and Real Betis by 3-0 in the tournament final.
