Willy Caballero, given an award by the Peña Malaguista de Fuengirola
Málaga CF goalkeeper, Willy Caballero, was named as the player who took part in the most first team matches in 2010/11, by the Peña Malaguista de Fuengirola.
The event took place at the Hotel PYR in Fuengirola at 8pm. Representing the Club was advisory councillor Francisco Martín Aguilar. Also present was the President of the Fuengirola Peña, which has 185 members, the charismatic Manolo Peinado, along with Miguel Molina, president of the Federación de Peñas Malaguistas. Sports councillor for the Fuengirola town hall, Pedro Cuevas was also there.
There was a wonderful atmosphere, and numerous members of the peña attended the event, where Willy was recognised for his regularity over the last season with Málaga, receiving a commemorative plaque, which had a symbol of the Sohail castle in Fuengirola. The Argentinean goalkeeper then gave a signed number ‘13’ shirt to the Fuengirola peña. The special day ended with a meal for all those present at the celebrations, held in the hometown of football genius Juan Gómez ‘Juanito’.
