Weligton suffers fractured collarbone

Málaga CF captain, Weligton, was injured in minute 11 of play due to a collision with Benteke following Aston Villa’s first goal of the game. The ‘Malaguista’ was taken to a Birmingham hospital and will return to Málaga with his teammates this evening.

Weligton abandoned the match in the 11th minute, and three minutes later, Panama-born Roberto Chen made his debut with Málaga CF, in substitution of the Brazilian team captain.
