Wednesday session focuses on the physical

The team returned to training this morning at La Rosaleda’s Annexe. A total of 20 professional and seven homegrown players were under Natxo’s orders today. The only injured players are Luis Muñoz, Genaro and Juande.

The players stepped on to the Annexe pitch at 10:30. Physical training, including various exercises predominantly strength training, featured in the majority of the session, along with mini-matches in a reduced space.

In terms of names, Naxto González counted on 24 players, plus goalkeepers Dani Barrio, Dani Martín and homegrown keeper Strindholm. From the reserve team, as well as the Swedish goalkeeper, were Ismael Gutiérrez, Kevin, Roberto, Benítez, Dani Lorenzo and ‘Juvenil’ player Andrés.

Outside the group, continuing with their respective recovery processes were Luis Muñoz, Genaro and Juande (muscular injury to right calf), with the number ‘8’ celebrating his 25th birthday today. They alternated between the gym and work on the pitch under the supervision of trainer, Toni Tapia.

Tomorrow, Thursday at 10:30, the third training session of the week will kick off at La Rosaleda’s facilities.
