Veterans end the season in Rincón de la Victoria

The Málaga CF Forever team headed to the Francisco Romero ground to take part in the II Charity Football Match, raising funds for the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Málaga, the lads’ final match of the 21/22 season.

Sponsored by the Diputación Provincial de Málaga and with a large crowd at the Francisco Romero football ground in Rincón de la Victoria, our Blue and White legends brought an end to the season with an entertaining friendly against the CD Recreativo Rincón Axarquía veterans.

With Manuel Hernández Navarrete at the helm, Málaga won by 1-7 with goals from Antonio Luis (3), Javi Ramos (2), Curro and ‘Kiki’ Musampa. The Dutch player, together with Dely Valdés – who didn’t play -, was one of the fixture’s main attractions, not forgetting the greats such as Calatayud, Jesule, De los Santos, Juanito, Apoño and new MCF Femenino coodinator, Alicia Fuentes.

The main aim of the event was to raise funds for the residential apartments for the Spanish Association against Cancer in Málaga.

The Association of Former Málaga Footballers has enjoyed a great season, having returned to normality after the pandemic and resuming the usual activities with the same joy and enthusiasm as always.
