Vaccinated against COVID-19

The Malaguista squad received the single-dose Janssen vaccine at La Roca health centre, taking another step towards the long-awaited immunity.

An important day for Málaga CF. The first team players and reserve team, in turns, visited La Roca health centre this Monday to receive the single-dose Janssen vaccine.

In the first turn, around 08:00, the Atlético Malagueño players were first to receive the vaccine, whilst the first team did so after this morning’s training session, between 11:00 and 12:00.

Málaga CF, with the application of this single-dose Janssen vaccine, have already completed the guidelines for this 21/22 season, advancing in the fight against the pandemic without letting their guard down.

It should be remembered that, at the beginning of July, “the Ministry of Education and Sports sent a letter to the Andalusian sports federations informing them of the possibility of vaccinating professional athletes against COVID-19, top-level athletes, high-performance athletes and those who participate with their clubs in competitions in maximum and sub-maximum categories (as is the case with Málaga CF). The objective of this measure is to ensure that the practice of sport continues in Andalucía with the best guarantees of health safety in light of the pandemic”.

With the vaccination of the team, one more step is taken on the road to normality. A normality in which we’re working hard to achieve the long-awaited return of the public to the stadiums, seeing our fans back at La Rosaleda.
