Uruguay calls-up Ricca for the third time

Federico Ricca has been reserved as a ‘footballer from abroad’ by the Uruguayan Football Association, for the ‘Celeste’ team’s next two commitments in South America.

This will be the third consecutive call-up by Uruguay’s first team for Federico Ricca should his reservation be confirmed; a formula used by the Uruguayan Association to give those who play overseas plenty of notice.

The left-back, who has not yet debuted under the orders of Óscar Tabárez, is reserved for the Uruguay-Ecuador (10th November, Montevideo) and Chile-Uruguay (15th November, Santiago) matches, corresponding to the South American qualifiers for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
