A valuable point at the tough Can Misses (1-1)

Málaga CF and Ibiza UD locked horns on Primera Federación matchday 12 at Estadio de Can Misses in front of 3,812 fans. Among them were more than a 100 Malaguistas who cheered on their team throughout the match.

Both teams fought for possession which was shared equally. However, it was the visitors who ventured more frequently to the opposite area. With a very active Jokin Gabilondo on the right wing, the Blue and Whites – wearing green and purple on this occasion - tried to overcome with lateral crosses and quick transitions. However, despite the effort, the result at half-time remained 0-0.

In the second half the script didn’t change much. Possession and dangerous situations were divided equally. Alfonso once again made a spectacular save in the 51st minute. The goalkeeper repelled a powerful shot executed from the heart of the area.

Just five minutes later Málaga CF responded. Dani Lorenzo passed the ball to Dioni who, upon turning, looked intently for the goal. However, the rival goalkeeper overtook him and prevented the goal.

After the hour mark, in minute 67, Gallar received the ball and advanced towards the Malaguista goal. With a powerful and well-placed shot with his left foot, the striker scored the first goal of the game to put the home side ahead (1-0).

However, Pellicer's team was quick to react. In the 69th minute, Haitam came on to replace J. Hernández. After three minutes on the Can Misses pitch, the Moroccan winger connected with a powerful shot from the edge of the area to make it 1-1 (72').

In the final stretch of the match, both teams sought to break the deadlock and take the three points. Antoñito C. and Loren Zúñiga came on to replace D. Larrubia and Roberto to refresh the attack and look for the winning goal, but the result remained all square at the final whistle.
