(Prepared)“It means a lot to me that they contacted me to come here. I was in no doubt and I’m pleased to be here. I’m feeling good and very keen to start playing. Physically I’m in good shape, it’s a good opportunity and I’ll do my best to give my all.”
(Daily work)“I feel proud and happy to be here. I’m eager to get to work and show what I can do in order to help the team. I’ll work hard every day to support the team to win games, will always be available for the coach to count on me, and support the team.”
(Experience and goals)“Every day that passes I learn something and I’m getting to know LaLiga more. I’ve been here a long time and think I’ve improved in every aspect. I’ve learnt a great deal about what LaLiga is. I’m a striker who does what the coach asks of me. I will do my best to work hard to benefit the team, helping by scoring goals would be better, so I’ll train hard for that to happen.”

(Project)“I’ve been very happy since I was told about the possibility of coming to Málaga, and this project convinced me. I’m thrilled to be here at such a great Club as Málaga. This is my first experience in Europe, so I hope to adapt as quickly as possible to the style of football here, and do my best to help the team.”
(Adapting)“In Uruguay we follow LaLiga a lot, the football is different here and much more dynamic. I will need to adapt, and then it will depend on me giving my all and being at my best as soon as I can. We’ve spoken a bit – with Gracia – so over the next few days we’ll see what his intentions are and what he wants from us as coach.”
(Characteristics)“As a winger I try to cover my section of the pitch well and arrive at the area, and also make the most of aerial play. I’ve played in various positions in defence so we’ll try and assimilate what the coach wants, confident that we can perform well.”
(Giménez/Copa Libertadores)“I played with José in Danubio’s youth ranks, he’s an excellent player, which he has shown. I know him, played with him and know the type of player and person he is. I had the chance to take part in the Libertadores against big teams, and facing class-A strikers puts you to the test.”
