Triple Alevín crown for the MCF Academy

Four young footballers from the Málaga CF Academy are proclaimed champions of Andalucía and Spain, as well as winning the league title with their 2nd Alevín teammates.

“None of this would have been possible without the help of our teammates and coaching team”, is the phrase repeated by Izan Merino, Ismael Molina, Ibrahima Sow and Yulen Vila each time they’ve been asked about winning their three titles this season. League champions with Málaga CF’s 2nd Alevín, regional champions with the Málaga team, and Spanish champions with the Andalusian team, in what has been an outstanding year.

Izan is the captain of the Blue and Whites first Alevín team. His teammate, Yulen is a goalkeeper, and together with Ismael, striker, Ibrahima and all his teammates, have contributed to win another league title for the Malaguista youth ranks. From there they reached the final of the Spanish championships, defeating Catalonia, taking part beforehand in the Andalusian championships where they also sang the victory chant. Three out of three.

These four promising young players, like all their teammates in the MCF Academy, one day dream of emulating Jesús Gámez, Samu Castillejo and Juanmi, and debuting at La Rosaleda stadium. “All the young players dream of reaching the first team” says Yulen, with Ibrahima adding: “I’d like to play here because I saw idols like Isco and Baptista”.

The journey has only just begun…
