Málaga CF will pay tribute to Unicaja Baloncesto de Málaga, in the run-up to #MálagaRacing, after the recent conquest of the Copa del Rey ACB in Badalona.
On 19th February Unicaja Baloncesto obtained their second national cup title, following the one achieved in Zaragoza (2005) together with the Liga ACB in 2006 and the European Korac Cup and Eurocup championships.
On the occasion of such an important success for Málaga sport, the Entity wants to pay homage to Antonio Jesús López Nieto’s club ahead of Sunday’s match at La Rosaleda against Real Racing Club, kicking off at 18:30.
A few minutes before #MálagaRacing gets underway, the players and coaching staff headed up by Ibon Navarro will take to the Martiricos pitch, waving to the Malaguista fans from midfield and showcasing the ACB Cup winner's trophy.
In addition, before the game, a representative from the Unicaja Baloncesto team will take the honorary kick. It will undoubtedly be a special moment between the two most representative sports clubs in the province. And, of course, an emotional boost from the 'green giants' to give our team positive, winning energy, ahead of the first of the 13 remaining league finals in LaLiga SmartBank 22/23.
