Training session in the Athletics Stadium

Eliseu worked aside from the group with trainer Enrique Ruiz, and Camacho underwent recovery exercises in the gym following a bruise to his right thigh, though the injury won’t affect his appearance in Saturday’s League match.  Reserve players Toni Casamayor and Pol worked with goalkeeping coach Xabi Mancisidor, whilst Diego, Jurado and Fabrice joined the rest of the team.
 
The group is back in training tomorrow at La Rosaleda beginning at 9:30 a.m. and at 12:30, the traditional offering to the ‘Divina Pastora’ takes place.
 
Statements from Camacho

(Start of the Season) “We’ve finished the pre-season now, and we’re all really looking forward to the start of the League.  We’ve all done a lot of travelling, played numerous matches, and now we’re looking ahead to Saturday and the Champions play-off on Wednesday, though we’re just focusing on Saturday at the moment.”
 
(Injury) “I’ve suffered a bruise to my right thigh, so the doctor thought it best I stay.  Though there’s no problem for Saturday’s match.”

(Situation with the players) "We've been paid what we were promised by the Club.  The situation has finally been resolved, and now we need to look to the future.  It's a real incentive for us during the training sessions.  It makes us a lot stronger and more united as a team.  It's been a really tough situation with a lot of uncertainty, which affected us all as a whole."

(Predictions for this season) "If I knew I'd tell you, I'd love to know!  It's always difficult to predict anything in football.  I played well last season, and ended the year on a good note.  It's difficult as Jéremy (Toulalan) is back, but there's lots of possibilities for both of us to play.  The coach is the only person to make the decision."

(Offers) "I had various offers from other teams, but I've decided to stay here.  This is the best decision for me.  There have been highs and lows, but there are also now a lot of opportunities, which will be great for me too."
