Traditional offering to the Patron Saint of Sport

Like every year before the start of the season, Málaga CF visited the parish of Divina Pastora and Santa Teresa de Jesús located in Plaza de Capuchinos in the capital.

The Málaga Club de Fútbol first team, made up of players, coaching staff, medics and assistants, made a floral offering to the Divina Pastora, now finally without restrictions after more than two years marked by COVID-19.

In the middle of last century, in the 1955/56 season, a tradition nearly seven decades old began with the Patron Saint of Sport in Málaga. The Blue and White first team, under the name of Club Deportivo, Atlético Malagueño and MCF, hasn’t missed an appointment that this time around marks the beginning of a very exciting 22/23 campaign for the Malaguista Family.

The Club’s institutional representation at the event was headed up by advisers Francisco Martín Aguilar, Abdullah Ben Barek and José Antonio Ruiz Guerra. Sporting director, Manolo Gaspar, and head of the MCF Academy, Sergio Barbosa 'Duda', amongst other directors, also attended.

Málaga CF captains presented the iconic Málaga church with a precious offering of flowers, with a Malaguista seal and a wish for good health together with sporting success for a season that begins this Sunday, at El Plantío, against Burgos CF.

See you in 2023, Patron!
