Three Kings gift Femenino with victory and the top spot (11-0)

The Malaguista squad remains in first place in the rankings with 37 points thanks to the victory against Club Atlético Polillas, a match in which Meri inaugurated her personal goal account with the Blue and Whites.

Málaga CF Femenino defeated Club Atlético Polillas by 11-0 on matchday 14 in the Segunda División Nacional Femenina Group IV clash. Goals from Sheila, Paula, Meri, Karina and María R. led Antonio Contreras’ girls to victory, keeping them at the top of the table with 37 points.

Despite the cold, the team got off to a strong start, dominating the ball without any problems during the initial stages of play. Following several approaches by the Blue and Whites, Pamela in 9’ sent out a warning to the Polillas keeper with a header thanks to a perfectly placed corner kick from Paula. Although there was no luck this time, there was a minute later for Sheila. The striker put her team 1-0 in front with a superb goal from the six-yard box.

The match continued along the same dynamic, and in minute 20, the referee signalled a penalty in favour of the locals. Paula converted from the penalty spot to make it 2-0. Just six minutes later, a frontal shot from Meri netted the 3-0, with the striker scoring her first goal wearing the Malaguista jersey. Málaga continued to dominate play. Polillas circled around Alba’s goal without success, and in minute 33, following an individual display, Sheila scored the 4-0 to widen the locals’ lead. With just five minutes remaining until half-time, Meri took advantage of a pass from Paula to sink the ball into the back of the net (5-0, 39’). This was the score at the end of the first half.

In the second half, the Blue and Whites kept on scoring. The 6-0 arrived in minute 49 thanks to Paula, who converted after outwitting the rival keeper. Following the goal from Paula, the madness began. Ten minutes later, Sheila made the most of a corner clearance to increase the lead to 7-0. The striker was substituted by Karina, and the Puerto Rican player landed the 8-0 no sooner had she joined play.

Contreras made further substitutions. He gave minutes to Janira in place of Meri; Noelia for Pamela; and put reserve team keeper, Lucía in goal. The 9-0 came in minute 67 with a shot from an unmarked Paula in the six-yard box. The number ‘6’ went on to score the 10-0 with an Olympic goal in the 72nd minute. With just two minutes until the final whistle, María R. hooked the ball from outside the area and overcame the rival goalkeeper to make it 11-0. There was no time for more, and Málaga Femenino achieve their first win of the second round against the rival from Ceuta.
