This is our…Cadete DH

Málaga CF’s Cadete División de Honor team, leaders of a category that made its debut this season, will be fighting for the title in a passionate final stage, with Betis and Sevilla as major rivals.

The squad, coached by Luis Bueno, is enjoying an excellent league campaign. After 24 matches disputed, they have accumulated 18 victories, two draws and four defeats, with 55 goals in favour and 21 conceded (+34 difference). Leaders, Málaga are closely followed by Real Betis Balompié (55 points) and Sevilla FC (54 points), their main rivals in the fight for the championship.

With six matches remaining until the League comes to an end, MCF has a demanding calendar ahead, with home games against; Real Jaén, Real Betis Balompié and Séneca CF at La Virreina ground where they play locally; and away matches against San Félix CD, Asoc. Deportiva Nervión and, the last match of the season, against Balón de Cádiz CF.

In addition, the Malaguistas are taking part in the prestigious international under-17s Academia Mohammed VI Tournament next month. Abdullah Ben Barek will head up the Club representation during this competition, which is “wonderful, well-organised and of a very high standard, with good teams involved. Málaga are a quality side and the boys are very much looking forward to it”, says the charismatic Club adviser.

Between 7th and 9th April, the Blue and Whites’ ‘cadetes’ will seek to overcome the first phase, in which they will face in Group A of the competition; Le Havre, OC Safi and AMF, hoping to qualify to the grand final taking place on Sunday 9th at 13:00.

Talent, competitiveness, sound training base and good results are the hallmarks of the fourth team by age in the Academy youth ranks, following reserve team, Atlético Malagueño and the ‘juveniles’ from the División de Honor and Liga Nacional categories.
