Press conference
“They were such beautiful feelings that I’ll remember for a long time”

Iván Calero held today’s press conference at La Rosaleda. “I urge the fans to come and enjoy the game and help us continue competing,” he said about the next home game against UD Las Palmas.

After more than 11 months, Calero returned to the starting-11 the day before yesterday against Tenerife: “I’m delighted to be back after so long. It’s practically been a year. Returning to La Rosaleda, with the fans, there were such beautiful feelings that I’ll remember for a long time.”

This year La Rosaleda is a true fortress: “This is what we want, to continue scoring points at home. The fans are responding in a spectacular way, they really spur is on, especially in the final minutes. We’re so grateful to them, they’re so important to us,” added the right-back.

“I urge the fans to come and enjoy the game and help us continue competing. I hope they come and cheer us on like they’ve done in previous games at home, where we feel the most comfortable,” he said about the Blue and White fans.

In regard to Saturday’s rival: “Las Palmas are a great team, they’re in the top part of the standings. Upfront they have very decisive players who can turn a match around. They are competing well at all grounds and, despite losing their last match, they’ll make things very tough for us,” said Iván Calero.
