The team boards the plane for #EibarMálaga

The expedition travelled to Bilbao airport this morning, and from there to Durango, where they’ll rest before heading to Ipurúa stadium for tonight’s match (20:45).

Málaga CF left for Bilbao at 10:00 this morning, with Club advisers; Abdullah Ben Barek and Francisco Martín Aguilar; sports director, Francesc Arnau; the coaching team and coach, Marcelo Romero; and the 19 called-up players. In addition, 50 members of the MBC (Málaga Business Club) accompanied the group, thanks to the organisation by Halcón Viajes, within the range of activities undertaken by the MBC throughout the year.

On arrival in the Basque Country, the group travelled to Durango, situated some 18 kilometres from Eibar, there they’ll remain at Gran Hotel Durango until the match.

Sergio Gontán ‘Keko’ returns to Ipurua, where he spent last season, as he and his teammates seek the first away victory for the Malaguistas of this current season.

The match kicks off at 20.45, and following play, the team will spend the night in Durango, and leave for Bilbao first thing, on the journey back to Málaga. There’s no time to rest however. The team will resume training on arrival at La Rosaleda stadium, ahead of the next League match against Betis, on Tuesday at 21:30 at home.
