The players have now put the outward flight and upset over the offside equaliser against Real Sociedad behind them, and returned to Málaga on Sunday morning. The return journey was peaceful and featured Duda posing for a photo with the captain of the plane before landing on the Costa del Sol.
The called-up players then arrived at La Rosaleda, and along with the rest of the team underwent a training session at the annexe ground – less intense for the players in action at Anoeta – with the exception of Albentosa who suffered a blow to his right knee. Juankar and Chory trained at a lesser intensity, as they continue their gradual reincorporation into the group.
With no time to relax, on Monday 29th February the team will return to training at the Ciudad de Málaga, ahead of Wednesday’s match against Valencia CF at La Rosaleda at 8 p.m.
