The last visit to Ipurúa was in the 2012/13 Cup

The last time the Blue and Whites were at SD Eibar’s ground was in 2012/13, when Málaga CF got through the knockout stage of the Cup following a 1-1 draw at Ipurúa and a 4-1 win at La Rosaleda.

The last encounter between Málaga CF and SD Eibar at Ipurúa was on 18th December 2012 in the first leg of the Copa del Rey knockout stage, which ended in a 1-1 draw, with Onyewu scoring the ‘Malaguista’ goal.  Many of the team’s existing players took part in this match, including Kameni, Sergio Sánchez, Weligton, Recio, Duda, Camacho and Juanmi, along with current SD Eibar coach, Gaizka Garitano, during his debut season at the club.
 
The last time the Blue and Whites played a League match at this stadium was in 2007/08 in the Second Division, which also ended in a 1-1 draw, with a goal from Baha.
 
The ‘Malaguistas’ have visited Ipurúa on five occasions in total in both League and Cup competitions, without taking home a win.  The Blue and Whites achieved three draws as Málaga CF, and two defeats under the denomination, CD Málaga.
 
The Blue and Whites’ highest goal-scorers in clashes between Málaga CF and SD Eibar are Baha and Buonanotte, both with two goals.
 
This season’s first round match ended in a 2-1 win for Málaga CF, thanks to goals from Juanmi and Amrabat.  The results are far more favourable for the ‘Malaguistas’ at La Rosaleda, with three victories and two draws.
