The ‘Forever’ seek national title in Valencia

This weekend, Málaga’s team of veteran players face one of the most anticipated dates of their agenda, the final stage of the Liga Solidaria FEAFV, taking place on Saturday in Oliva (Valencia).

After victory in the thrilling final against Marbesula de Marbella, in the Zona Sur final, the Málaga CF Forever are now seeking a national title within the eight-team tournament, including the aforementioned Málaga CF and Marbesula, as well as reigning champions, Real Valladolid, Alcorcón, Racing de Santander, Celta de Vigo, Elche CF and Albacete.

The format will include two groups of four teams, and the top two of each group will face each other in the semi-finals.

The semi-finals, third-place decider and the grand final will then take place, all on the same day, this Saturday 26th May in Oliva, Valencia. The day before, following the FEAFV Ordinary General Assembly, the competition’s draw will be held in which the Malaguista team’s rivals will be determined.

Málaga will head to Valencia on Friday by coach, with the hope of coming back with the FEAFV championship trophy (7-a-side), whose monies raised go to charity. Manolo Canillas’ team includes illustrious names such as Calatayud, Josemi, Gerardo, Juan Rodríguez and ‘Kiki’ Musampa, amongst others.,
