The experience of Loren Juarros at the service of MCF

The executive, after an extensive career at Real Sociedad de Fútbol, will join Málaga CF for the next two seasons plus one based on objectives.

Lorenzo Juarros García, born on 7th June 1966, Mambrillas de Lara (Burgos), is a proven leader with a notable background in the structure of one of the most highly advanced Spanish clubs, Real Sociedad de Fútbol.

The director took over at the 'txurri-urdin' team in the middle of the 08/09 season until the 17/18 campaign, therefore becoming the longest-serving sporting director in the First Division.

Real Sociedad began this journey by competing in Spain’s Second Division and ended it in European competition. Notable within his recruiting portfolio are the signings of Willian José, Carlos Vela, Rulli and former Malaguista, Juanmi. However, the most significant aspect of his experience has been his commitment to the youth academy, where he previously worked as a coach (03/04). Under his command, Griezmann, Illarramendi, Yuri Berchiche, Íñigo Martínez, Zurutuza, Oyarzabal and Odriozola, among others, developed. A basic philosophy that will be key to MCF’s future. Blue and White general manager Kike Pérez said during Tuesday’s press conference: “I saw from the beginning that this is a club of youth development. I needed that profile, someone who knows the life of a footballer. And someone with success in their professional career and a prestigious club. Someone with experience in the dressing room and the offices, who can provide us with a comprehensive plan,” he affirmed.

Following the definitive signing of the contract, Loren Juarros becomes Málaga CF's new sporting director from today.

Welcome to your home, Loren.
