Tebas: “What Málaga does is extraordinary, I can only congratulate them”
The president of LaLiga praised the management of the current judicial administration of the Club: “José María Muñoz is a very rigorous professional. He is an example of management for LaLiga and for the rest of the clubs.”
The head of the national competition, Javier Tebas analysed the Club’s current situation: “It’s been known that for the past few seasons, Málaga CF have continued along a line that’s been very consistent with their situation. Of course, from a sporting point of view it’s limiting, but work is being done so that there can be financial continuity for ever. I wish you the best of luck for the remaining matches, and hope you achieve your objectives,” he said.
Can you imagine professional football without MCF? That was a question posed by one of the journalists present, to which the manager replied: “It's sport and anything can happen, but I can't imagine Málaga CF outside of professional football, just as I can't imagine many clubs. I can't imagine Málaga CF,” he stated.
In regard to the injection of capital from LaLiga Impulso, the president clarified that Málaga CF have allocated “part of it for debt and, if I remember correctly, Málaga CF are immersed in infrastructure issues, with the Ciudad Deportiva. Projects that, if an investment such as this didn’t arrive, it wouldn’t have been possible,” he explained.
Finally, he praised José María Muñoz, Málaga CF’s judicial administrator: “At Málaga CF, the one I can highlight is José María Muñoz, not because I know him personally, but because of the results of his management considering the limitations he has. For me, what is happening in Malaga is extraordinary and all I can do is congratulate him. He is a man highly valued by LaLiga and the rest of the clubs.”
In addition, he said that “he’s a very thorough person, he knows well what he has to do. It appeared as though it may be tough for him to adapt, but that’s not been the case. He is an example of management for LaLiga and for the rest of the clubs. There are many experts in football, and he’s surrounded himself with the right people to make these types of decisions. Football is very difficult, particularly with the salary limitations that Málaga CF have. You have to be an expert, be with the right people and have a bit of luck on your side, as his limitations are very far from other clubs,” he stated.
