Team receives integrity talk at La Rosaleda

A LaLiga representative visited the team's dressing room at La Rosaleda today following this afternoon’s training session to talk to the players and coaches about sports betting.

For several seasons now, LaLiga has included talks on sports betting within its communication plan for the 42 clubs that make up the Professional Football League. The main aim is to raise awareness of the importance of not betting, thus avoiding individual or club sanctions.

These hypothetical sanctions, which can be incredibly costly, may lead to the possible withdrawal of the player’s federation licence who carried out said practices.

The bets move a large amount of money, and the player should not, nor can, bet. It is considered a prohibited and criminal action, with very serious consequences typified in the penal code.

The recommendation to the footballer, in turn, extends to issues related to prevention in terms of content uploaded to social networks or the relationship with ultra-groups in the stadiums.

Once again, Málaga Club de Fútbol advocates Fair Play both on and off the pitch in all official competitions in which it participates.
