Dani Lorenzo renews until 2025 and is loaned out to Mérida

The young homegrown player has signed the extension to his contract until the 24/25 season. The midfielder will play for the reminder of 22/23 on loan to Mérida in search of more minutes.

Daniel Lorenzo Guerrero (Marbella, 2003), trained at the MCF Academy and returned to the Club from Real Madrid CF last season at ‘Juvenil’ age.

He began the 21/22 season with the Juvenil 'A' team in División de Honor and his good performance allowed him to quickly be ‘promoted’ to Atlético Malagueño. And also to the first team, making his official debut in the Copa del Rey on 2nd December 2021 in the match against Peña Sport in Tafalla (0-3).

During the current 22/23 season, Dani, consolidated in the daily work of the first team both in training and squad lists, has played seven games with Málaga CF in LaLiga SmartBank, scoring the third goal in the win against CD Lugo (3-2) at La Rosaleda on matchday 11 of the competition.

In total, with MCF, the Marbella-born player has accumulated 13 games in the Second Division and three in the Copa del Rey in a season and a half, at just 19 years of age.

Dani Lorenzo begins a new adventure with the excitement of being an important player in the ranks of Asociación Deportiva Mérida. The club plays in Primera Federación Group 1, where he’ll share a dressing room with another Blue and White player on loan to the Mérida outfit, David Larrubia.

Lots of luck in Mérida, Dani!
