Málaga Club de Fútbol will face Emers-Sporting de Alcázar CF in the first round of the Spanish Championship / Copa de S.M. el Rey.
The draw for the first round of the Spanish domestic cup competition was held at the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) earlier today.
Málaga CF, drawn in Group 3, have been paired with Sporting de Alcázar CF in a first-ever meeting between the two clubs.
The Blue and Whites will begin their Copa campaign away from home, travelling to the Manchegan side’s stadium on 27, 28 or 29 October, with the kick-off time yet to be confirmed.
The Alcázar de San Juan-based side from Ciudad Real, who play in the Primera Autonómica Preferente de Castilla-La Mancha, reached the first round after eliminating CP Talayuela in the preliminary round.
The tie will be decided over a single match, with extra time and a penalty shootout to be played if required should the score be level after 90 minutes.
