Fifth edition of the Sports Organisations Master’s programme gets underway

The fifth Master’s Degree in Sports Organisation Management and Marketing, run by Málaga CF and the University of Málaga, got underway this week with a record 27 students enrolled.

The opening session, held in the auditorium of the UMA Faculty of Marketing and Commerce, was attended by representatives of the Club, led by judicial administrator José María Muñoz and first team goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero, who was a student on the second edition of the Master’s programme.

The opening round table featured Daniel Navas, UMA Deputy Vice-Rector for Postgraduate and Continuing Education; Benjamín del Alcázar, Dean of the Faculty of Marketing and Management at UMA; and the Master’s programme co-directors, Ana Vera and Daniel Palomo.

The event also featured two discussion panels with students from the previous four editions sharing their experiences in the professional world after completing the Málaga CF and university Master’s programme. Among them were several academy graduates who now work in different departments across the Club.

The new Primera edition got underway today, with a record number of students enrolled. A total of 27 students are being taught by 88 lecturers, two more than in last year’s edition of the Master’s programme.

Once again, the programme will have a strong practical focus, with students completing 360 hours of classroom-based learning, 300 hours of work placements with sports organisations and a Master’s thesis with real-world application.

The programme is structured across 11 specialised modules: Senior Management, Technical Management, People Management, Legal Affairs, Finance and Accounting, Strategic Marketing, Business Intelligence, Digital Marketing, Sports Communications, Ethics and Sustainability, and Sales and Business Development.
