Rafita and Chupe play their part in Spain U-21’s emphatic victory

Spain’s U-21 side secured a resounding 7-1 win over Romania in Ibiza, booking their place at the 2027 European Championship. Rafita provided two assists, while Chupe made his international debut.

David Gordo’s side booked their place at next year’s U-21 European Championship, to be held in Albania and Serbia, with a convincing 7-1 victory over Romania at Can Misses. Pablo García (3), Gonzalo (2), Yarek and Iker Bravo, from the penalty spot, were Spain’s goalscorers after coming from behind following Burnete’s early opener.

From a Málaga CF perspective, Rafita started at right-back and delivered an impressive 90-minute performance. The full-back provided two assists, setting up Spain’s fifth and sixth goals. Meanwhile, Chupe made his U-21 debut after coming on in the 61st minute for two-goal hero Gonzalo. The Blue and White striker came close to marking his debut with a goal in the 78th minute, but his effort was saved by the Romanian goalkeeper.

A historic day for Málaga’s academy, with two MCF Academy representatives playing their part in Spain U-21’s impressive qualification. Congratulations, Rafita and Chupe!
