The Club’s official health provider gives us another piece of advice for taking care of our health and improving sports performance. This time around we look at the need for good footwear.

Wearing good footwear is essential for practicing any sports discipline, predominantly for comfort but, above all, to avoid injury. You can’t wear the same shoes to play paddle tennis as you would to climb. Even when it comes to running there are infinite styles depending on the running surface.

Surfaces vary greatly, which is why studded boots are used for football on grass and footwear that protects the ankles are used in basketball.

Cementing sports practice from the feet is essential.

Good footwear is crucial for practicing sports. The choice of this will depend directly on the activity being undertaken: soccer studs for grass, high-top shoes for basketball, climbing shoes, etc.

Careful. Don't confuse walking shoes with trainers. Despite their appearance, they’re not suitable for physical exertion and can cause injury.
