Homegrown players are the protagonists in today’s training

Málaga CF resumed training this Friday morning at La Rosaleda Stadium. Pellicer had 23 players in action, including nine homegrown players and six of ‘juvenil’ age.

The coach organised a less intense session this morning, the penultimate of the week. An initial warm-up, rounds in groups, fut-net games, crosses, shots at goal and stretching exercises were the focus of today’s training.

A total of 14 professional players were on the pitch at Martiricos this morning. All except Mejías and Benkhemassa, who trained in the gym; Alexander who is in concentration with Venezuela; and Orlando Sá who announced his retirement from football the day before yesterday.

The MCF Academy once again featured in training, with Strindholm, Isma Casas and Cristo representing the reserve team, plus ‘juveniles’ Haitam, Roberto, Andrés Caro, Ibra, Recio and Bilal.

Calero and Chavarría continued with their respective recovery processes. Hicham exercised in the gym today, whilst Ramón remains with his shoulder immobilised until the end of next month.

Tomorrow, Saturday at 10:30, the team will return to training at La Rosaleda. Pellicer will then hold a press conference at 13:00 ahead of #MálagaCastellón on Sunday.
