Spectacular win for Atlético Malagueño against Wales’ under-19’s (6-3)
The ‘Malaguista’ reserve team defeated Wales’ under-19’s team by 6-3 in this morning’s match, held at the Marbella Football Center, with goals from Mauri, Ernesto, Pirulo and Rufo.
Salva Ballesta’s boys, today under the instruction of his assistant, Raúl Castillo, dominated the game from kick off. The Blue and Whites’ boys created numerous goal chances and made the most out of every opportunity on the pitch. With two different team line-ups in each half of the game, the Blue and Whites opened the scoring after two minutes with a penalty following a hand ball, which Mauri scored with ease. The second and third Malagueño goals were down to Pirulo, the first deflected off the near post, and the second finding the net following impressive combinative play between Pablo and Iván Rodríguez. Just before half time, Wales took advantage of a Malagueño defensive error and scored their first goal. It was Ernesto in the second half, along with two goals from Rufo, who increased the lead for the Blue and Whites. A Williams penalty - the third of the match, including the early Mauri penalty and another following a Wales error in the first 45 minutes – and a late goal by Abdi Noor who gained possession in the penalty area, led to the final 6-3 win for the local team.
