Six teams competing in three tournaments this weekend

There’s no rest for the MCF Academy 7-a-side teams. The Costa de la Luz Tournament is coming up, in which three Málaga CF teams are taking part: Prebenjamín, Benjamín and Alevín.

San Vicente Cup 

Málaga CF is participating in this prestigious tournament with two teams, an Alevín and a Benjamín squad. The older team is in Group D along with Ciudad de Alcoy FC and Russian side, FK Nizhny Novgorod. Real Murcia, Real Betis Balompié and Levante UD are some of the other teams competing for the trophy.

In the Benjamín category, the Blue and Whites are a group of boys born in 2010, who will compete against teams made up of players who are a year older. In Group D along with Ciudad Benidorm and Hércules CF, other youth teams competing include Atlético de Madrid, Real Betis and Levante UD.

Costa de la Luz Tournament

Málaga CF is competing in this tournament, one of the most prestigious in Andalucía, with three teams: Prebenjamín, Benjamín and Alevín. The latter team is in Group B along with Pavía UD, Nuevo Cáceres and Casa Benfica Tavir. The Benjamínes are in Group F with San Lorenzo Atlético, Coria CF and Nuevo Cáceres. Finally, the Prebenjamínes are in Group A with Roteña UD, Nuevo Molino CDC and Bormujos CP.

Some of the most powerful youth teams in national football will be taking part in this tournament; FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid; Villarreal CF and Sevilla FC to name but a few.

Levante Cup       

In the absence of forming groups, Málaga CF is heading to Garrucha, Mojácar, Turre and Vera to compete in the Levante Cup. The Blue and Whites will be playing against teams such as Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla FC, Real Betis, Getafe CF and Villarreal CF.
