Seba: “We’re prepared to be amongst the best and show that it’s not just a good start”

The Blues and Whites stiker, Sebastián Fernández, spoke to the media in a press conference on Friday at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.

Statements from Seba:

(Match in Jaén) "We make use of the time as we are not playing, and we’ll be prepared when the team requires it.  We take it very seriously, it’s the difference between us playing well or badly.  Now we’ll stop, keep preparations going, and win the next match.  Now it’s time to disconnect and be with our families in Málaga."

(Maintaining the level) "It’s difficult, but we are prepared to keep up, it wasn’t a good start, and that is all.  We are in the right frame of mind and we’re going to try and do it, there’s a lot left to do and it will be very hard.  Levante?  Surprising, they are a tough team to beat, that’s why they’re in the First Division."

(Comeback against Getafe)  "We ended the match as winners, this is the prize when you don't give up.  It was an incredible match for everyone, and we ended up partying.  Fixed eleven?  It’s difficult, but it’s the right decision, now that the team is winning, we should keep it that way.  We have no problems waiting for our place."

(Uruguay)  "This is always a nice challenge.  It’s very important for Uruguay to go directly to the World Cup, because in the last two, we lost one in 2006, and the other two were in play-offs against Australia.  It would be good to get into the first four and go directly into the World Cup.  I would like to play a match in Montevideo, as I still haven’t played there.  Competence?  At the top, and at all levels, my position is the best, but everyone thinks their job is the best.  All the Uruguay national team players are playing at high levels in their clubs."

(Ownership)  "I just want to play.  Then anything else will come on its own."
