Isco: “Every time I go out on the pitch I feel very supported”
Isco Alarcón, the Malagueño striker, spoke to the media in a press conference today.
Isco’s statements:
(Under 21s). “The match turned out quite good as it was against a difficult opponent and I’m very happy as it’s another step in the right direction. Olympics? That it’ll all depend on the next few matches but there’s always the hope that we can go. My goal pass in Croatia? I got the ball in the centre of the pitch, there was a triangulation with Canales and Rodrigo and I took a chance and it paid off. We’re all playing in very similar ways and we’re creating some pretty good football.”
(Progress). “The more time a player is on the pitch, the more he wants to grow. I’m enjoying my minutes out there and I want to keep on working. I’m very happy, I didn’t make the preseason and so, as time goes on, I’m training more and more.”
(Margin for improvement). “Levante has started the league well. Currently they’re head of us and so important to reverse that. I’ll see my mates there as I was there for five years and they’ll come and see me. At the moment they’re using other players more than me, but the season is long and we’re all enjoying the time we have on the pitch. We’re still only at the beginning of the season and everyone wants to team to progress. We’ll continue to see a Málaga that’s improving.”
(Pellegrini). “He says I’m a quality player who has to get into the penalty area more and get into the centre more to receive the ball. He’s happy but he’s also asking more of me, as he is with all the players.”
(Loved). “The warmth of everyone is clear, every time I go out on the pitch I feel very supported and for that I have always, from the first moment, felt very appreciative.”
