Atlético Malagueño will face Ejea de los Caballeros (Zaragoza) in the first play-off match for promotion to Second Division B, following this afternoon’s draw that took place at the Royal Spanish Football Federation’s headquarters (RFEF).
Salva Ballesta’s boys will play the third-placed team from Third Division Group 17: “They’re not a very well-known rival, but they must have had a successful season to have qualified for the promotion play-offs. We have the utmost respect for SD Ejea, as they have a lot of experience, know the category well and have taken part in numerous promotion stages in recent years,” comments the Blue and Whites’ coach.
Ballesta doesn’t want to put pressure on his players, in fact, quite the opposite: “I really hope they enjoy the experience and make the most of everything they’ve achieved this season with such a young team. There is no obligation or any pressure as our work is already done.”
