The German-born manager states: “We didn’t do enough to win tonight. During the first half we just couldn’t overcome the rival’s relatively slow pace on the pitch, and despite creating chances in the second half to at least equalise, we still lost tonight. There’s not much more to say about this game.”
With regards to Málaga’s clear improvement in the second half, the coach adds: “We always react well when we’re behind on the score board, which is a good quality the team has always had, and will continue to do so. However mistakes are costing us dearly, particularly in the situation we’re in now.”
