Málaga CF’s Santi Cazorla debuted in Spain’s Euro 2012 match against Ireland, in which the Spanish side won by 4-0. The Asturian-born player joined the match in the 78th minute, substituting Andrés Iniesta.
The two Málaga CF representatives in this competition have both made an appearance: with Mathijsen playing for Holland last Wednesday against Germany, and Cazorla in the final part of Spain’s match against Ireland.
Spain face Croatia in their next match, taking place on Monday at 8:45 p.m.
