The Málaga CF midfielder, scorer of the third goal of the match, was one of the players to attend to the media after beating Antequera CF.
Much-needed win
“It was much-needed for both me and the team. We were not giving our best version, we were having a hard time developing our football and getting results. We needed to get the three points in front of our fans, it will be important for what’s going to come. I’m happy with the goal and with the team's level, we are prepared for what’s coming.”
The most important is yet to come
“It's a good time to be at our best. Now comes the most important thing, I’m happy to help the team certify this victory. It's going to be complicated because the competition is very tough and my teammates are doing well, but I'm going to continue fighting to be there and help the team as much as possible. The important thing is that we’ve found a good version and we’re ready.”
Working and being prepared
“I arrived in Malaga with great enthusiasm, and in the first part of the season I was very integrated and comfortable. Then the injuries came, it was difficult for me to get into a rhythm after the second injury. I have experience and I know that we have to keep fighting. When the opportunity comes you have to be prepared. I'm going to continue fighting, I hope that with the goal I have that extra confidence to give my all for what's left.”
Explosion of joy
“It was an explosion of joy. We’ve been dreaming of this moment with work in training for so long. It turns things around. Very happy to score my first goal with Málaga. I really wanted to wear the Málaga shirt for the first time, in a match that went well and with good feelings ahead of the playoff.”
A step forward
“We knew that we were in a difficult situation because the feelings weren’t there. The team has taken a step forward, we recovered football and goals and it’s a morale boost for us. We know how to play these games and win, which is going to be the important thing from now on.”
A great team game
“From the beginning we knew how to adjust the pressure well and when we gained possession upfront we did some damage. In many games we’ve been trailing and today we went ahead, we knew how to hold on, stay together and regain control of the game. The two goals in the first half put the match in our favour and it’s easier.”
