Sandro taking part in Under-21 European Championship with Spain

The Malaguista striker has been called up by Spain U-21 ahead of the European Championship taking place in Poland in June. Ontiveros has been called-up to train in the preliminary stage.

Sandro Ramírez has been included in the Spain U-21 line-up by coach, Alberto Celades, to compete in the European Championship of the category, taking place in Poland in June. The Malaguista ‘pichichi’ in LaLiga (14 goals, plus two in the Copa del Rey) is being rewarded for his great season with Málaga CF, and will join his teammates on Wednesday 31st May at the RFEF’s Football City in Madrid.

In addition, Javi Ontiveros will form part of a group of six footballers who will be in training with the 23 players called-up by Celades, between 31st May, and 3rd or 10th June, as in principle they will not be travelling to Poland, as reported by the Federation.

Spain, in Group B of the competition along with Macedonia, Portugal and Serbia, will seek to get through the first stage of the tournament and regain a title they’ve won four times (2013, 2011, 1998 and 1986).
