Farewell
“We already know the reason for being here today. I wish to announce my departure from this Club, after 13 years wearing this shirt. It’s been an honour for me to play over 300 matches defending this shield. Sunday will be my last match as a Málaga player. Following my two teammates (Demichelis and Weligton), today it’s my turn”.
Pride
“It’s important to follow this path and thank you for counting on me over the years. I leave here happy to have done my bit towards the growth of this Club. It filled me with pride to watch Málaga fight in Europe and see the fans enjoying their team consolidated in the First Division”.
Grateful
“I’ll always be grateful to this Club for giving me the opportunity to play in the best League in the world, and opening the doors to wonderful experiences, and competing with my national team. There have been so many emotions over the 17 or 18 years, I’ve spent most of my life here. I arrived when I was 18, with the best wife I could ask for, and my daughters”.
Malaguista and Malagueño
“I’d like to thank everyone I shared this Club with, starting with the directors, all the coaches, all my teammates, the medical team and the ‘pichitas’, who I’ve known the most over all these years. Thank you to all the peñas, of which there are many, particularly the one in Torrox. I will continue to be linked to this Club in one way or another, now or in the future. I’m another Malaguista and Malagueño. Thank you all”.
