Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Samuel García held a press conference in the mixed zone to analyse tonight’s Copa del Rey quarter-final first leg against Athletic Club.
Samuel discusses the goalless draw: “It’s not a bad result. It was a difficult game, we knew it would be, but the return leg is wide open and we’ll give our all. The important thing is we didn’t concede a goal, so we’ll try our best to bring something positive back next week and qualify to the semis.”
The ‘Malaguista’ striker is ambitious ahead of the next two games against the Bilbao-based side: “We’ve got three matches against this rival, and we want to achieve a positive result in both the League and Cup competitions. Qualifying to the semi-finals would be amazing for us and the fans, and would signify a major achievement for us all. However we’re focusing on each match at a time.”
