Sadiku and Buenacasa leave the Club

The forwards, Armando Sadiku and Sergio Buenacasa leave Málaga CF and return to their respective clubs of origin, Levante UD and RCD Mallorca.

As their loan contracts came to an end following the conclusion of the regular 19/20 league season, both players now no longer belong to the Malaguista entity.

Sadiku has had a magnificent season on a personal level, becoming the team’s highest scorer with 13 goals in LaLiga SmartBank and the Blue and Whites’ third highest scorer of the last decade, behind Sandro and Rondón (14 goals). In total, the Albanian striker has played 36 games and has been, after Munir and Cifuentes, the player with the most minutes accumulated (2,938).

Buenacasa, meanwhile, arrived during the winter transfer window from SD Ponferradina, and made his debut at La Rosaleda against his former team on January 14 (Málaga won by 1-0 during Pellicer’s debut in the dugout). The striker played 14 league games as a Malaguista, accumulating 351 minutes of play.

Málaga Club de Fútbol would like to thank Armando Sadiku and Sergio Buenacasa for their commitment to the institution, renewing their relationship with the Club beyond June 30 – renouncing their fees – in a clear gesture of commitment in a very difficult stage for everyone due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Thank you both for everything and we wish you the best of luck for the future!
