Ruth: “It’s a reward for the hard work and sacrifice during the season”

The MCFF captain talked about the team’s win at Roma Luz against CFF Olympia Las Rozas and the league title. “This team is highly ambitious, we always want more,” she stated.

The Málaga CF Femenino captain, who has played such an important role this year, is thrilled whilst talking to the MCFTV cameras. “I’m delighted and so proud of the work we’ve done this season. It’s a reward for the hard work and sacrifice during the season. I’d like to congratulate my teammates and all the coaching staff, this is for everyone,” said the Malaguista number ‘15’.

Despite the result, and with almost no time to savour the achievement, Ruth expressed the team’s ambition to not settle and go for more. “We want to carry on, we can’t wait for next season to start and to continue in this dynamic to return Málaga to where it belongs. We’ve achieved the objective, but there are still five games left. This team is highly ambitious, we always want more,” she added.

As one of the team captains and a true example on and off the pitch, Ruth is ambitious ahead of next season, when the team will compete in Grupo Sur of the new 2ª División RFEF. “We’ve done a great job this season. Unfortunately, last year we suffered relegation, but we’re very committed and determined to get Málaga back to where it should be,” she said.
