Ruano: “We’re determined to get through”

The Malaguista reserve team coach tells MCFTV that La Rosaleda “is a pitch that will allow us to develop our football, and I hope it helps us to get through.”

Atlético Malagueño completed the final training session at La Rosaleda this morning, before the return leg (first leg, 0-0) of the first round of the Second Division B promotion play-offs.  The match takes place tomorrow, Sunday at Martiricos against FC Vilafranca at 12 p.m.

Excited to get through

“We’re determined and full of enthusiasm to get through this tie, it’s a final.  As it stands we have a result that means we need to win, but it doesn’t mean we have to do anything different to what we’ve been doing all season at home.  For us, a draw for us at home is no major thing, it’s a result that will force us to do what we’re used to doing.”

A difficult rival

“We know more or less what we’ll be up against, so we’ll try to impose our style of play, and ultimately, score one goal more than them.  That’s what it’s about.”

Playing at La Rosaleda

“It’s always exciting for the team to play on our pitch.  We’ll do our best to ensure that the anxiety and motivation of playing on such a large field won’t be excessive, and will allow us to play our game.”

Unusual setting

“I don’t think the size of the pitch at La Rosaleda is that different to the Federation ground, although compared to last Sunday, it is.  This is a pitch that will allow us to develop our football, and I hope it helps us to get through.”
