Rosales – the first Málaga CF international in action
Venezuelan-born right-back, Roberto Rosales was the first of five ‘Malaguista’ internationals to play for his country during this weekend’s calendar.
Thursday 8th October
Rosales – Venezuela
He played the entire match between Venezuela-Paraguay (0-1, Derlis González); the South American qualifier (CONMEBOL) for the next World Cup. Venezuela were defeated in their first Russia 2018 qualifier.
Friday 9th October
Mastour – Morocco
The Blue and Whites’ player remained on the bench for the match between Morocco and the Ivory Coast (0-1, Doumbia); the international friendly held in North Africa.
Filipenko – Belarus
The Málaga CF player remained on the bench for this game between Slovakia and Belarus (0-1, Dragun), within Group C of the Euro 2016 qualifier. Spain, already qualified, leads the group in which Belarus are in 4th place with 10 points, without any mathematical option of qualifying.
Horta – Portugal’s under-21s
Horta played 34 minutes of the match, joining play in minute 59 as Portugal took on Hungary (2-0, Fernandes and Paciencia), in the Group 4 qualifier for the next Euro under-21s championships. Following two games, Portugal’s under-21s lead the group with 6 points, on the road to Poland 2017.
