Rosales renews until 2020 and is loaned out to RCD Espanyol

The right-back extends his contract with Málaga CF until 2020 and is being loaned out to RCD Espanyol until the end of the 2018/19 season.

Roberto Rosales arrived at Málaga CF in the 2014/15 season following a successful period in the Belgian and Dutch leagues. In his first year he took part in 40 matches (34 League and six Cup games) and competed in the Copa América in Chile with Venezuela.

In 2015/16 he again showed his regularity, taking part in 35 League matches and one Copa del Rey match with Málaga CF, and repeated his participation with his national team in the Copa América Centenario held in the USA.

The Venezuelan defender accumulated 34 matches (32 League and two Cup games) in 2016/17 and another 36 (35 League and one Cup game) last season, the last of the four seasons he’s been at the Club. In total, Rosales has played 136 matches – all in the starting-11 – in the First Division with MCF (two goals and 10 assists), plus 10 Copa del Rey games.

Málaga Club de Fútbol wishes Roberto Rosales lots of luck in this next stage of his professional career.
