Ricca: “We’ll try and win the three points, although it won’t be easy”

The left back wore the captain’s armband in the first two games of the season. “The coach gave me this responsibility and I will try and offer the best of myself”, affirms the player.

Wearing the captain’s armband

“During the preseason the coach gave me this responsibility and I will try and offer the best of myself. I’m focusing on what matters, which is competing, concentrating on each match at a time, and ensuring that the team does well, as we have been doing”.

Good start to the season

“Luckily we got off to a good start. The beginnings are always important, but we can’t remain with that. We’ve now got another match coming up and need to follow the same line. From day one the coach asked us to be aware of what we’d be up against, and from day one the team has responded to everything the coach has requested, which we’ve conveyed on the pitch”.

Match by match

“We were aware of the difficulty of the category, it’s a very long tournament, we need to be as consistent as possible and not think further ahead than the next match”.

Fans’ support

“The fans are spectacular. Their support is awesome. They’ve been behind us throughout and we’re extremely grateful for their support during the good times as we saw the other day in the home game. They were cheering us on for 90 minutes, which really gives us a boost”.

Next rival: Almería

“Almería are a rival we’ve been studying, a very difficult rival. In this category there are no easy rides. We’ll go there and try and win the three points, although it won’t be easy”.

Good atmosphere in the dressing room

“We’ve formed a very good group, which I believe is important. Everyone needs to be committed and in every training session each player gives their all and wants to be there. We need everyone as we’ve got a long road ahead, so it’s important that every player is at their best”.
