José Luis García del Pozo, Recio, leaves Málaga CF to sign to CD Leganés. As such, the former first team captain from last season leaves the Club where he grew professionally and with whom he took part in 153 official games – amongst all competitions – scoring a total of 10 goals.
Raised in The MCF Academy, Recio debuted with the first team in 2010/11, at 19 years of age, playing a total of 23 games that season in the First Division. The following season, the homegrown player formed part of the historic Málaga CF that ended in fourth place in domestic competition. During the winter transfer window of 2012/13, he was loaned out to Granada CF. His good performance led to Granada requesting another loan for the midfielder in the 2013/14 season.
On his return in 2014/15, Recio was strong in midfield and since then has played a total of 8.234 minutes, over 113 official games with the Blue and Whites.
